Dear Prayer Partner,
Once
again I greet you from the world’s largest democratic nation of
Visit to the
On 3rd Sunday of this
month I was in Rajupalem mission field where the anti-government forces are very
active. Due to the constant clash between the police and these forces, due to
security reasons, no one is allowed to be outdoors after it gets dark. There
were instances of people being shot dead who break this rule. Inspite of these
restrictions, the Lord is at work in this mission field through our missionary.
He established prayers groups in 6 different villages and on Sundays an average
of 20 people meet together for worship out of which 8 people have expressed
their desire to be baptized. Our missionary is nurturing these believers and
teaching them about baptism. Lord willing we hope to baptize these believers in
October if they continue to be strong in their faith. Please pray for these
believers and for our missionary.
A Hindu lady who attends
our prayer meetings offered the verandah of her house to conduct the worship
services on Sundays. We are very much thankful to the Lord for this lady as we
did not find any alterative place for this purpose. Her continual participation
in our prayer meetings not only gave her the inner peace but also joy in her
life. As she experienced the joy and peace through these prayer meetings, she
decided to donate the entire compound of her house measuring 15X20 for the
construction of a shed for worship services. We are deeply moved by her
sensitivity to the needs of the Lord’s work and her willingness to share in the
need. If this poor Hindu lady has opened her heart for His work, how much more
we should be open for the needs of the ministry? The Lord has blessed many of us
financially and materially and yet we are neither sensitive to the needs of the
ministry nor are we open to share a small part of our resources with the needs
of the ministry. This should challenge each of us to be sensitive to the needs
of the ministry and be willing to have a share in His work.
New Mission
Field:
As shared in the earlier newsletters, there is an urgent need to open another
new mission field. The region has been surveyed and the mission station has been
identified. A young dedicated couple has committed to work in this mission field
through RLF. We are looking for prayer partners who are willing to stand with
this missionary with their prayers and monthly financial support of US$100 a
month. Please pray seriously about this special and urgent need and commit
yourself to support this missionary couple through your prayers and finances.
Please feel free to write to us for more details about the mission field and the
missionary couple.
